Clifford E. Francis born in New York City and currently residing in Great Neck, New York began painting in the mid-nineties inspired by the great post-impressionists.
Cliff initially painted works of watercolor, gouache, oil and mixed mediums consisting of floral designs and landscapes from thought and interpretations. After some brief courses at The Art Students League Of New York, Cliff painted solely as a hobby while working full time.
Upon his retirement in 2020 and still in the midst of the lockdown, he took a more direct approach to his art by revisiting previous works and concentrating in producing quality oil paintings, as his true passion. In the past few years, Cliff has produced a large variety of work consisting of impressionistic seascapes, landscapes, still-life, and abstracts inspired by what pleases the eye, and his expressive interpretations of everyday objects and scenes.
